Dundalk citizens refuse to let refuse take over
Council candidate Brian Weir puts his boots on for this one, and it ain't politics.
I don’t think there is a person alive in this community that is not aware of the great work the Clean Bread and Cheese Creek volunteers does to make our Dundalk shine even on cloudy day.
Clean Bread and Cheese Creek sponsored this Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay Project.
Here is an update with some great pics on the latest battle with natures, excuse me, man’s attempt at messing up the planet.

Much of the information was supplied by members of this one man (people) army of warriors who refuse to let refuse take over. The work, or cleanup was accomplished during the month of May.
So grab some boots and trash bags and wade into this good news blog.

The cleanup included areas like Lynch Cove Run and along Bear Creek.
It should be noted that many of the volunteers were employees from the Daily Record in Annapolis.
Here are some great photos taken by the group in a before and after the project.

Buzz,
I sent you a copy of the latest Clean Bread and Cheese Creek e-newsletter on Wednesday. It includes the results of the cleanup. Check out the latest finds. Bear Creek Park is maintained by Baltimore Co.
The Bear Creek Park-Charlesmont Park Cleanup was planned by Clean Bread and Cheese Creek and the Bear Creek Trail Planning Committee. Our efforts were supported by volunteers from the community, TSU, and Navy Command NIOC Maryland-Naval District Washington.
The Bear Creek Recreation Council also provided some support for the event.
Attached is the text Chris George prepared on the significance of Bear Creek. He set up a display and answered questions for a few hours.

I also received this e-mail:On Saturday, May 17th, in celebration of National Kids to Parks Day, 57 volunteers arrived to clean up Stansbury Park and Pond. It was a beautiful day! This Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay Project Clean Stream event was planned by Clean Bread and Cheese Creek and the Bear Creek Trail Planning Committee. Together we removed 81 bags of trash, including some wooden building material, six broken fishing rods, two 55 gallon drums (one we put back into service as one of the parks trash cans) a shopping cart, a carpet, a suitcase, a metal chair, a wooden pallet, a bicycle, a razor scooter, and a huge refrigerator sized chunk of Styrofoam!
We would like to thank Chick-fil-A of Eastpoint for their food donation and the Eastfield- Stanbook Civic Association for their help. We would also like to thank Officer Dennis for bringing his kids out from the JOINS Program, Naval District Washington, and Viridian Energy for volunteering with us, as well as all our absolutely incredible volunteers. They did another wonderful job cleaning up this beautiful park, especially the kids!
