Dundalk Man Charged In Wife's Murder

Police allege a Dundalk man killed his wife Tuesday night in a bedroom.

DUNDALK, MD — Police said a Dundalk man is charged with murder after his wife was shot to death on Tuesday, March 5. Officials had been involved in multiple domestic incidents leading up to the homicide, which police described as a "culmination of their tumultuous relationship."

Kevin Anthony Dipietrantonio, 51, of the 1700 block of Brookview Road, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a first-degree murder charge following a bail review hearing on Wednesday, March 6, according to court records.

The charge came after police found Dipietrantonio's wife fatally shot in a bedroom in his home.

Janice Lynn Dipietrantonio, 47, of the 1700 block of Brookview Road, had been shot in the upper body, according to officials, who said she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers said they were dispatched to the 1700 block of Brookview Road after 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday once a family member who was at a different location called 911.

Kevin Dipietrantonio confessed to his daughter that he killed his wife and also told his next-door neighbor that "she cheated and that was it," according to WBAL.

When police arrived, WBAL said Kevin Dipietrantonio was outside the home with a gun, while his wife was inside with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police said the suspect was immediately arrested.
