The Charm City Roller Girls are back in action with a doubleheader on Saturday, February 18, as the Mobtown Mods tackle their nemeses the Night Terrors. Last season, the Terrors handed the Mods their only losses of the season, including a defeat that left the Mods in second place while the Terrors took home the Donaghy Cup. This bout is bound to be a bitter battle for vengeance and redemption.
The crusade for pride continues as the Junkyard Dolls face the Speed Regime. The last time these two teams met, the Dolls succumbed to the Regime by two points in a nail-biting finish that wasn’t determined until the last jam. That loss cost the Dolls an opportunity to break a season-long slump but gave the Speed Regime much-needed momentum. It is clear that the Dolls will be out for revenge while the Regime will fight to prove that their previous win was no fluke.
Both bouts will take place in Canton at the Clarence “Du” Burns Arena, 1301 S. Ellwood Avenue. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the first whistle is at 6:30 p.m. with the second bout starting at approximately 8:00 p.m.
