Dundalk Shooting Victim Died, Police Seek Suspect Info

Police have asked people for information after a teen was killed in a shooting Thursday on Eastern Avenue.

DUNDALK, MD — A teen has died after a shooting in Dundalk Thursday night. Investigators say they believe the shooting was targeted.

Antwuan Cordell Malloy, 19, of the 1900 block of Church Road, had been sitting on a wall that separates a driveway from the Everest Pizza restaurant with two friends when someone came up behind them and shot Malloy at least once in the back, police said.

The others saw the suspect approaching with a gun and ran away, according to authorities.

Police said Malloy tried to run as well but collapsed nearby after being shot in the back. He was taken to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.

The shooting took place in the 7800 block of Eastern Avenue, according to authorities.

The suspect remains at large on Friday, officials reported.

Investigators said Malloy was the intended target, and anyone with information about the shooting or suspect is asked to to contact police at 410-307-2020.

Police said one man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound.


PREVIOUS REPORT — A shooting is under investigation in Dundalk Thursday evening, according to police. The suspect is at large, officials reported after 4:30 p.m.

The shooting took place in the 7800 block of Eastern Avenue, according to authorities, who advised the public to avoid the area.

Police said one man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
