Homeowners and renters may qualify for a share of the energy generated by a local solar farm. That share creates credits on their existing BGE bill, with savings based on a discount applied to the value of those credits. Customers keep BGE for electricity delivery, outage service, and their regular monthly bill. Getting started is simple: upload a recent BGE bill securely at LowerMyElectricBill.org. Our team reviews eligibility, checks available community solar capacity, and explains the discount, expected savings, and enrollment terms before any commitment. Enrollment is free, with no credit check or equipment installation. Households participating in qualifying assistance programs may be eligible for larger discounts.
