Pedestrian Dies After Edgemere Crash: Police

One of two people hit on North Point Boulevard Tuesday succumbed to his injuries on Thanksgiving, Baltimore County police said.

EDGEMERE, MD — One of two pedestrians hit by a car while they were crossing North Point Boulevard Tuesday has died, police reported.

Michael Alan Phillips, 24, of the 2300 block of Lodge Farm Road in Edgemere, was hit by a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze on Tuesday night when he and a 38-year-old woman tried to cross North Point Boulevard.

The collision happened at 9:19 p.m. in the area of Delmar Avenue, according to officials.

There was no crosswalk in the area where Phillips and the woman tried to cross, police reported.

Officials said Phillips was pronounced deceased at 3:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving at the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

The crash remains under investigation, police reported on Friday.
