Stabbing In PetSmart Fish Aisle Nets 1 Arrest: Police

Two men were arguing over who was next in line, according to Baltimore County police.

DUNDALK, MD – A man was charged with assault after a stabbing at PetSmart that police said started in the fish department.

Duwade Marshall Moses, 67, of the 2700 block of Delk Court, was charged with first and second-degree assault after authorities allege he stabbed another customer.

The Oct. 2 fight began over who was next in line, officials said.

Moses and the other man first spat at each other, police said. That escalated to throwing merchandise at one another.

The victim saw Moses reach for what he thought was a weapon and punched him. The weapon turned out to be a folding knife in Moses's pants pocket, authorities reported.

Police said Moses stabbed the other man in the upper body, was taken into custody at the scene and was later released on bond.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

John Clayton Runk, 51, of the 1800 block of Kinship Road, was charged with second-degree assault and $1,000 in malicious destruction of property, court records show. Moses is listed as the complainant.
