Police ID Couple Killed In Sparrows Point Murder-Suicide

A domestic incident with a gun turned deadly near Edgemere, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

EDGEMERE, MD — A call about a domestic disturbance led to the discovery of two people dead in a home near Edgemere over the weekend, according to police. The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Ami Lynn Garrison, 40, and Daniel Allen Doran, 41, both lived in the 3000 block of Willow Avenue, where police said their bodies were found in a bedroom.

Officers were called to the home around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, for a report of a domestic incident involving a gun.

Another person who lived in the home had left and dialed 911 to report that Doran threatened him with a gun for trying to intervene in a verbal argument Doran was having with Garrison.

Initially, police treated the case as a barricade situation while officers tried to contact those inside the home. After they could not get in touch with the residents, police said that officers entered and found Garrison and Doran deceased.

Based on the autopsies done by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, police said that Doran shot Garrison and then himself.

Authorities said there was no history of domestic incidents between the couple.
