Suspicious Device at Edgemere Fire Station Not Dangerous, Police Say

A hazardous device team was called to investigate a situation on North Point Road Friday evening, Baltimore County police reported.

EDGEMERE, MD โ€” A special team of first responders was called to the North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department Friday evening to investigate an object deemed suspect. It was later determined there was no danger.

After 9 p.m., the Baltimore County Police Department reported that law enforcement officers had been dispatched to the 7500 block of North Point Road for a suspicious package found in the area.

A hazardous device team also responded to the scene, officials said.

By 9:50 p.m., Corporal Shawn Vinson reported that police had cleared the scene and there was not any danger to the public. Vinson said the investigation was continuing.
