Welcome to the Boulevard Diner!

Located at the intersection of Merritt Boulevard and Holabird Avenue, the Boulevard Diner replaced the landmark House of Neptune a decade ago and has become a local institution on its own.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Dundalk Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that's worth checking out.

This week's choice: The Boulevard Diner

A classic family-owned diner where the waitstaff treats everyone like a regular, the Boulevard Diner offers all the traditional comfort food we love – burgers and fries to triple decker clubs, hot open sandwiches, T-bone streaks, grilled chicken, seafood and breakfast all day night. The Boulevard Diner is open from 6 a.m. to midnight, Sunday to Thursday, and 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

Recently, a couple of Patch staffers met at the diner for a late breakfast, including a Boulevard special – eggs Benedict with crab imperial and home fries – and two eggs over easy with toast, plus hot coffee and O.J. Β The food came fast, our waitress refilled our coffees a couple of times, and the eggs were good, too.

Overview: The Boulevard Diner is a classic, Greek family-owned, retro-diner with shiny chrome, cozy booths, tables, a long counter and enormous mouth-watering dessert cases. My dad loved neighborhood diners like this.
