2 Lothian Business Armed Robberies Likely Related: Police
The Dash In store and a Dunkin' Donuts in Lothian were both robbed by armed men on Sunday, police say.

LOTHIAN, MD — Robberies by groups of men carrying knives at a Lothian convenience store and a Dunkin' Donuts location were likely committed by the same suspects, Anne Arundel County Police said Monday. The robberies happened on Sunday, the first about 12:30 a.m. at the Dash Inn at 1378 Mount Zion Marlboro Road in Lothian.
Store employees said three suspects armed with knives came into the business and demanded money and cigarettes. The employees gave the robbers the items and the suspects fled in an unknown direction. The suspects were estimated to be about 20 years old, all wearing dark clothing.
A group of four armed robbers held up the Dunkin' Donuts at 5408 Southern Maryland Boulevard in Lothian shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday. Workers told police that four suspects in their mid-teens to early 20s came into the store carrying knives, and demanded money. The employees complied and the suspects ran out of the business.

Several units, including a police canine, searched the areas after both robberies but did not find the suspects. There were no injuries reported in either hold-up.
