UPDATE: Two Men In Custody For Edgewater Stabbing

Two Edgewater men are in custody for stabbing a man; they face charges of attempted murder.

(Updated 9:45 p.m. Monday) EDGEWATER, MD — Two Edgewater men are in custody on attempted murder charges for allegedly stabbing that occurred early Sunday in Edgewater, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Detectives say the suspects entered the victim's home and attacked him; the men reportedly knew one another.

The two suspects arrested by police are: Stephen Michael Sirois, 25, of the 200 block of Tilden Way in Edgewater, and Gregory Michael Taylor, 28, of the 1600 block of Millstone Drive in Edgewater. They were taken into custody at their homes without incident, police say.

About 12:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to the 1600 block of Havre De Grace Drive in Edgewater, where they found a man in front of the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim told officers he was beaten and stabbed multiple times.

Authorities say the victim was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries to his upper torso, arms and face.

Both Sirois and Taylor are charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, home invasion and burglary related offenses.

Authorities issued arrest warrants for the two men on Sunday and area police were urged to use caution if they saw Sirois and Taylor since the men might have been armed.
