2 Seriously Hurt In South River Bridge Crash: Fire Officials
A head-on crash in Riva injured five people, two seriously, according to Anne Arundel County Fire officials.

RIVA, MD — A head-on crash in Riva injured five people, two seriously, according to Anne Arundel County Fire officials. The accident occurred just after 7 p.m. on March 8 on the South River Bridge in the 3000 block of Riva Road.
Emergency crews say a pickup truck struck a sedan head on. The driver of the sedan was briefly trapped until being extricated by firefighters.
Paramedics took five patients to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment. Two patients — a 33-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman — had injuries that were serious but not believed to be life-threatening, officials said. Three patients — 18- and 21-year-old men and a 50-year-old woman — had injuries that were possibly serious.
