2 Students Of South River High School Elected As State Officers

Our chapter won Bronze as a FBLA Chapter of the Year and two of our students were elected as State Officers.

South River lead by example and demonstrated excellence at the State Leadership Conference of Maryland Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) in only our first year as a chapter.

Our chapter won Bronze as a FBLA Chapter of the Year and two of our students were elected as State Officers. Please congratulate Lucy Kopin and Daniela Pena on their campaigns.

The Conference had over 1,600 competitors in 70+ event areas. Thirty-six of South River’s forty-three participants were awarded Top Ten placements. Twenty-four of our students were in the Top Four of their events and are moving on to the National Leadership Experience.

Please also congratulate Aaron Slack, Caroline Finn and Tyler Kempton on coming in first place in the State of Maryland for their competitive events in Data Security, Business Financial Plan and E-Business.

The FBLA prepares its members for careers in business and helps them to become better employees and citizens. Members develop leadership abilities in preparation for entry into business-related occupations, and offers opportunities to hone skills in business and technology through competition at regional, state and national levels.
