2 Trapped, Hurt In Head-On Davidsonville Crash: Officials
Two drivers were trapped in their vehicles following a head-on crash in Davidsonville; both were taken to area hospitals.

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — Two drivers were trapped in their vehicles following a head-on crash in Davidsonville Tuesday, and had to be extricated by Anne Arundel County firefighters. One driver suffered serious injuries, while the other had minor injuries in the crash that happened just before 1 p.m. in the 800 block of Central Avenue West near Davidsonville Road.
Responders say two vehicles collided head-on and both drivers were trapped in each vehicle; neither had any passengers. The first driver, a 49-year-old woman who was driving a mid-sized SUV, was quickly extricated by firefighters. Paramedics took her to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.
The second driver, a 39-year-old man driving a four-door car, was extricated in about 10 minutes. He was taken to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with injuries that were serious, but not believed life-threatening, fire department officials said.

Authorities have not released the names of the drivers, or said if charges will be filed.
