$250K In Ecstasy, Cocaine Seized In Annapolis Drug Raid: Police

An Annapolis man faces numerous drug charges after reports of trafficking in the Edgewater area led to a raid that seized $250K in drugs.

EDGEWATER, MD — An Annapolis man faces numerous drug charges after reports of trafficking in the Edgewater area led to a raid that seized Ecstasy, cocaine and other drugs worth more than $250,000. Anne Arundel County Police said the department wrapped up a three-month investigation into drug distribution in the Edgewater/Annapolis area with a search and arrest on March 14.

Thursday morning officers from the Annapolis City Police Department, Anne Arundel County Police Opioid Task Force and Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant in the unit block of Maryland Avenue in Annapolis and seized:

  • Several bags containing suspected cocaine (454.04 grams with an estimated street value $45,404
  • Several tabs of paper suspected LSD (55.5 grams)
  • 247 Alprazolam pills (estimated street value $2,470)
  • MDMA (2,106.33 grams of Ecstasy - estimated street value $210,600)
  • 176 THC cartridges
  • An undisclosed amount of cash
  • Money counter
  • Drug sales paraphernalia (bags, heat sealer, cutting agent, scales)

Detectives then responded to two storage units located in the Edgewater/Annapolis area and executed two additional search warrant owned by the suspect. Inside the storage units police found:

  • A safe containing a large amount of U.S. currency, amount not specified
  • Several bags containing MDMA (522.27 grams of Ecstasy - estimated street value of $52,000)
  • 587 Alprazolam pills (estimated street value $5,870)

Paul Anthony Luongo, 26, of Annapolis, is charged with:

  • CDS Possession - large amount (2 counts)
  • CDS: Possession with intent to distribute: narcotics (2 counts)
  • CDS Possession with intent to distribute (2 counts)
  • CDS: Possession with intent to distribute: PCP/LSD/Hal
  • CDS: Possession-not marijuana (4 counts)
  • CDS: Possession of marijuana 10 grams or more
