3 Edgewater Teens Charged in Attempted Robbery, Shooting
Police say three teens - ranging from 13 to 18 years old - and a Delaware man shot at a victim who fled Edgewater Park to avoid the robbers.
Three Edgewater teens -- one as young as 13 -- and a Delaware man were arrested for allegedly trying to rob a pedestrian in Edgewater Park and firing shots at him, police say.
Anne Arundel County Police say the attack was reported at 6:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Maryland Way in Edgewater.
The 21-year-old male victim from Edgewater told police he was confronted by a group of suspects as he walked through the park. The victim became fearful of the group and turned around, running away from them after they demanded property from him. The victim heard the sound of gunshots behind him, but he was not injured and called the police.

The suspects fled the area on foot and a canine unit and aviation unit helped search for the suspects. Two of the suspects were found hiding in the area, police say. The victim identified them as suspects involved in the robbery. The two remaining suspects were also located and taken into custody.
All four suspects were charged with attempted first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

The suspects are: Travis Virgil Brownlee, 20, of 12020 Glen Circle in Bridgeville, DE; Christopher Daniel Jarin, 18, of 1607 Elkridge Drive in Edgewater; a 15-year-old boy from Edgewater; and a 13-year-old boy from Edgewater.
