5 Injured in 2 Weekend Car Accidents in Edgewater
Five people were injured in two separate car crashes over the weekend in Edgewater, according to Anne Arundel County Fire officials.

EDGEWATER, MD — Five people were injured in two separate car crashes that happend over the weekend in Edgewater, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials.
The first accident happened just before 6 p.m. Friday at Muddy Creek Road and Collins Road, according to authorities, and left the two drivers seriously injured. Firefighters say a pickup truck rear-ended a four-door.
A Maryland State Police helicopter flew the 45-year-old female driver of the car to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. The 28-year-old male driver of the truck was taken to Shock Trauma by paramedics with serious injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Three people were injured in a head-on crash about 2:20 p.m. Saturday at Central Avenue West and Pike Ridge Road. A 56-year-old female passenger of one vehicle was taken by paramedics to the trauma center at Prince George’s Hospital Center with serious injuries. Paramedics took two other patients to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.
