Its primary focus is to provide comprehensive recreational programs for residents and safeguard valuable land through the maintenance and management of over 160 parks and natural areas. The department manages specialized recreational facilities, including two swim centers, two golf courses, three ice rinks, a baseball stadium, a softball complex, and programs tailored to diverse needs ranging from school-age childcare to adaptive recreation. It also cares for thousands of acres of land, encompassing community parks, greenways, archaeological sites, environmental and historical preserves, and large regional parks spanning several hundred acres. DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — Celebrate Ag Education Day Oct. 13 at Y Worry Farm located outside Davidsonville where visitors of all ages will enjoy a variety of activities from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is free.Ag Education Day is sponsored by the <a href="https://www.mdfarmbureau.com/event/anne-arundel-ag-education-day/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Maryland Farm Bureau</a>. The upcoming event at <a href="https://www.facebook.com/yworryfarm" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Y Worry Farm</a> will be the 13th annual Ag Education Day held there. Guests will enjoy the petting animals, pony rides, pumpkin picking and more. Food trucks and local vendors will be on hand, and there will be an assortment of games and activities planned. A rain date has been set for Oct. 20. Y Worry Farm is located at 1501 Rossback Road.
