Anne Arundel County Schools Make Weather Decision for Saturday, Jan. 14
BREAKING: With Anne Arundel County expecting a wintry mix of snow and freezing rain, school events are affected.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Anne Arundel County Public Schools has announced a change in the schedule for Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017.
The region is expecting a wintry mix of snow that will change to sleet and freezing rain late Friday, with rain and snow possible through Monday, according to the National Weather Service. The current forecast suggests less than an inch of snow accumulating across the state. The main threat will be ice on roadways and sidewalks, possibly causing slippery conditions through the weekend.
School officials said on Friday afternoon: Due to the forecast for snow, sleet, freezing rain and the potential for icy conditions tomorrow, all school-sponsored activities scheduled for Saturday, January 14, are canceled.
