Anne Arundel School, County Offices Closed Monday
While students already had Monday off, there are changes for staffers. And trash and recycling collection is delayed.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Anne Arundel County government and school offices will be closed Monday as the area digs out from the snowstorm.
A reminder that Anne Arundel County Public Schools students are on semester break on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 25 and 26. Classes are scheduled to resume for students on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

School Schedule Changes
Because of the storm, all AACPS school and administrative offices will be closed on Monday. A Code Red is in effect for employees.

Unit III personnel will be contacted separately regarding their reporting requirements.
Monday’s closing does not change the start of the third marking period for students, the school system says.
At this time, Tuesday will be a teacher workday and the third marking period will start on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
Anne Arundel County Closures
County Executive Steve Schuh said all Anne Arundel County government offices and departments will be closed for nonessential personnel on Monday.
“While the storm activity has moved out of the area, we continue to work to clear our roads and restore power to our communities,” said Schuh. “Closing county government will allow our crews the extra time needed to get their work done.”
County Trash, Recycling Delays
Curbside collection of trash and recycling will be postponed for Anne Arundel County customers on Monday and Tuesday as a result of the record-setting snowstorm. The Millersville Landfill and three drop-off sites, Northern, Central, and Southern Recycling Centers, will also be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
As road conditions improve the Department of Public Works will provide information on restoration of services on the DPW website and Facebook page.
City of Annapolis Closures, Delays
Annapolis City government offices will be closed on Monday and the Annapolis City Council meeting scheduled for Monday has also been cancelled.
Department of Public Works crews have made all of the emergency routes passable and are now working to clear the connector routes in Annapolis.
The Annapolis Call Center remains open for all non-emergency calls. Annapolis residents can call 410-260-2211 regarding road conditions or any non-emergency snow-related questions.
