BGE Tree Trimming Under Way On Mayo Peninsula

Parts of Highway 214 will be closed in the coming days while BGE has crews trim trees on the Mayo Peninsula.

MAYO, MD — South County residents should by on the watch for crews trimming trees on the Mayo peninsula starting Monday, Oct. 30, BGE says.

Work requiring closure of one traffic lane of Highway 214 should be completed on Saturday, Oct. 28, the utility says.

  • From 8th Ave to River Road, about .2 miles of lane closure.
  • From The corner of Shoreham Beach Road south to Collision Road, about .3 miles of lane closure.
  • From Shesley Road south to Beverly Beach Avenue, about .6 miles of lane closure.
