Bicyclist Struck By Deer In Harwood

A 55-year-old female bicyclist sustained serious injuries while biking with a group in Harwood after she was struck by a deer.

HARWOOD, MD -- A 55-year-old female bicyclist suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a deer while traveling along Owensville Sudley Road in Harwood. The incident happened in the late morning on June 15.

Firefighters responded to the incident and discovered that the bicyclist was one of several in a group biking together. According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, paramedics transported the victim to the trauma center at UM Prince George's Hospital Center for treatment.
