Car Crashed in Davidsonville While Owner Slept

The Annapolis woman who owns a 2006 Toyota Corolla didn't realize her car was taken for a joy ride until police arrived.

The owner of a car crashed and abandoned in Davidsonville didn’t realize her vehicle was missing until police knocked on her door Tuesday morning.

Anne Arundel County Police Department found a 2006 Toyota Corolla abandoned after an accident at the intersection of Birdsville Road and Whispering Oaks Lane in Davidsonville, reports the Capital-Gazette.

The Toyota was registered to a woman who lives on Williams Drive in Annapolis. She was unaware that her car was missing until Annapolis police officers spoke to her.

Although she last saw the vehicle parked in her driveway, the woman told police she may have left the car unlocked. She also left one spare car key attached to the vehicle’s exterior, and another spare key inside the car.
