Coastal Flood Advisory Tuesday and Overnight

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory that remains in effect until 1 a.m. Wednesday.

 

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory indicating that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding in low lying areas along the shore.

The target area includes Anne Arundel, Calvert and Harford counties and parts of Baltimore County.

The advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The expected impacts will be at their height when the tide is high.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources website gives the following times for high tide at selected shoreline points in the Chesapeake Bay for Dec. 27:

  • Havre de Grace (Harford) 12:30 a.m.
  • Fort McHenry (Baltimore) 8:50 p.m.
  • U.S. Naval Academy (Anne Arundel) 7:20 p.m.
  • Sandy Point (Anne Arundel) 7:29 p.m.
  • Shady Side (Anne Arundel) 6:52 p.m.
  • Edgewater South River (Anne Arundel) 6:49 p.m.
  • Chesapeake Beach (Calvert County) 6:03 p.m.
  • Solomons Island (Calvert County) 4:12 p.m.
  • Point Lookout (St. Mary's) 3.22 p.m.
