Cynthia C. Johnson “Cyndie”, 55, a resident of Edgewater for nine years and previously of Forestville, MD, died on October 9 at her residence.
Born on December 1, 1959, at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport, PA, to the late Allan Dale “A.D.” and Sylvia Graebner-Johnson, Cyndie graduated from Suitland High School in Suitland, MD, and worked in the mortgage banking industry and volunteered with Hospice of the Chesapeake.

She was known for being very fashionable, golden glitz and glitter was her trademark. Cyndie was a devoted Christian and in her spare time enjoyed animals (critters), music and dancing. She loved her family, especially her grandsons, and was looking forward to moving in with her daughter, son-in-law and grand-babies.
In addition to her parents, Cyndie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Alvin “Cy” Graebner.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashton Johnson and her husband, Chris Rogers of North Bend, PA; her grandmother, June Graebner; her brother, Grant A. Johnson; her sister, Diana Dee McEachran all of Edgewater; grandsons, Christopher L. and Bradlee Allan Rogers of North Bend, PA and a niece, DMolleigh McEachran of Edgewater.
Friends are invited to celebrate Cyndie’s life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater, and from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Maxwell Funeral Home in Renovo, PA.
