Davidsonville Farmers Market Awaits Summer Produce Season

Chase's Produce outside Davidsonville has been picked clean of strawberries, but will have more seasonal produce ready soon.

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD – Shoppers seeking fresh produce, baked goods, plants, honey and more can pop by a couple of farmers markets in the area. Chase’s Produce outside Davidsonville along Route 424 has roots that date back more than 50 years. Their farmers market offers seasonal produce including eggplant, squash, green beans, peppers, cantaloupes and sweet corn. Their u-pick strawberry season recently came to an end with the berry plants picked clean, but their next crop of produce should be ready in June, according to their Facebook page.

The Severna Park Farmers Market located at Ritchie Highway and Jones Station Road is open Saturdays now through early November from 8 a.m. until noon. Local farmers and vendors offer an array of goodies including organic producer and meat, freshly ground coffee, pottery, homemade pasta sauce and more.
