Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks serves millions of residents and visitors annually through a wide variety of services and programs. Its primary focus is to provide comprehensive recreational programs for residents and safeguard valuable land through the maintenance and management of over 160 parks and natural areas. The department manages specialized recreational facilities, including two swim centers, two golf courses, three ice rinks, a baseball stadium, a softball complex, and programs tailored to diverse needs ranging from school-age childcare to adaptive recreation. It also cares for thousands of acres of land, encompassing community parks, greenways, archaeological sites, environmental and historical preserves, and large regional parks spanning several hundred acres. ANNAPOLIS, MD — A Davidsonville man was arrested Tuesday after Annapolis Police reportedly spotting him driving a stolen car. About 11:45 p.m. Annapolis Police officers were in the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue when they saw the Ford Escape pull into a parking spot.The driver of the stolen SUV was identified as Jason Edmonds, 28, of Davidsonville. Edmonds had the keys to the vehicle in his possession and there were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle, authorities say.Police arrested Edmonds and charged him with motor vehicle theft, theft, and rogue and vagabond. Edmonds was released by the District Court Commissioner.
