Jennifer Logan, 41, a 14-year resident of Hanover, died May 12 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore due to complications from leukemia treatments. Jennifer graduated from South River High School in 1989.

Christy Lawson, 41, a 30-year resident of Edgewater, died May 12, at the Mandrin Inpatient Care Center in Harwood. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, taking care of her animals and her favorite color was purple.

Joanne Duckett Carr, 80, a longtime resident of Edgewater, died at home on May 11, after battling COPD. Born December 5, 1932, to the late Frank and Edith Duckett, she worked for the US Post Office in Edgewater as a mail carrier and retired after 27 years of service.

Robert O. Suit “Bobby”, age 83, a lifelong resident of South County, died on May 9 at his residence in Birdsville. Born on August 28, 1929 in Birdsville to the late William and Daisey Tucker Suit, Bobby was a 1946 graduate of Southern High School. A sergeant in the U.S. Army, he served in Okinawa during the Korean War and after the war enjoyed a lifelong career with C&P Telephone Co.

Fred (Freddie) Bottner, 74, of Davidsonville, died on May 8 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Fred was a past-president of both the Davidsonville Ruritan Club and the Anne Arundel County Fair Association.
