Doris Louise Hittle, 92, of Davidsonville

Doris Louise Hittle, 92, passed away May 1, 2015, of congestive heart failure at her home in Davidsonville.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Quentin Louis Hittle, and two sons, Steven Quentin Hittle and Quentin Louis Hittle.

Doris was born on May 25, 1922, to Winterson and Ruth Hardesty of Harwood. After graduating from Annapolis High she married Quentin Hittle of Davidsonville, where they lived on the family tobacco farm.

Doris was a wonderful wife and mother. In her spare time Doris enjoyed gardening, going on bus trips with her sister, Mary Suit, and watching Oriole baseball.

Doris is survived by one son, Winterson Hittle of Davidsonville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St. in Annapolis. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Bay Area Community Church, 884 Chesterfield Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.

Interment will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
