Driver Critically Injured In Davidsonville Rollover Crash: Police

One person was critically injured when his vehicle rolled over in a Davidsonville crash, according to fire department officials.

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — One person was critically injured when his vehicle rolled over in a Davidsonville crash, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials. The 29-year-old driver was the only person in the vehicle when it rolled over Tuesday morning.

Authorities say the accident happened on Defense Highway and Rutland Road about 9:40 a.m. Responders found the vehicle right-side up on the shoulder of the road with front-end damage and other damage that indicated it had rolled. The driver was trapped in the vehicle but quickly extricated by firefighters.

Paramedics requested a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter, which landed near the scene. The patient was flown to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with critical, possibly life-threatening injuries.
