Edgewater Crash Seriously Injures Woman: Officials
A woman was briefly trapped in her car following a crash in Edgewater, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

EDGEWATER, MD — A woman was briefly trapped in her car following a crash Friday afternoon in Edgewater, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The acciden happened about 4:30 p.m. near Central Avenue and Solomons Island Road.
The two-vehicle accident involved a four-door sedan and a work truck. The driver of the car, a 57-year-old woman, was had to be extricated by firefighters.
Paramedics requested a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter, which landed at South River High School. The was flown to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. There were no other injuries requiring hospital transport.
