E-LEARNING LOGIN ISSUES AND PASSWORD RESET INFORMATION

We are beginning to transition to students using their own Google Chrome logins to access resources. This is being done to address copyright issues and to prepare students to transition to Google Classroom.

Managing Multiple Google Accounts:

Families will need to log out of their personal Google Chrome accounts. Students can then log into their school accounts using their school login information (student ID number as user name (ex: number@aacps.org) and their personal password).

HOW DO I ACCESS CLASSLINK AND THE GOOGLE DRIVE

Students can access their AACPS Google Drive and Classlink by signing into Google Chrome on their computers.

In the Google Chrome Browser, students can log into their school account using their student ID number@aacps.org (example: 546789@aacps.org)

For students in grades 4-12, passwords were created by each student. Students should be able to tell parents what their log-in is.

WHAT IS GOOGLE CLASSROOM?

Google Classroom is a digital classroom platform for teachers to share resources, assignments and assessments with students. Students can access, complete and turn in assignments for teacher grading and feedback.

UPLOADING WORK TO GOOGLE CLASSROOM USING A PHONE

MICROSOFT ONEDRIVE & OFFICE 365

All students and staff have a Microsoft OneDrive and Office 365 account. For students, the log-in is their studentID#@aacps.org, and their school computer password. OneDrive offers 1 Terabyte of storage for digital files and folders, and access to the Microsoft Office suite of productivity tools, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, online.

USING A SMARTPHONE AS A MOBILE HOTSPOT

For families struggling with Internet connectivity, AACPS has posted step-by-step directions on how to use an android phone or iPhone as a mobile hotspot. Once a smartphone operates as a mobile hotspot, you can connect a computers to the Internet free of charge via this hotspot.

This information is posted on the public AACPS elearning webpage in the public FAQ section titled, “Devices/Internet Connections.”

HOW DO I GET A STUDENT’S PASSWORD CHANGED OR RESET?

If students need to reset their passwords, parents should call 410-224-4783 or 410-222-5135 from 9-3 pm Monday-Friday.
