Edgewater Family Displaced Due To House Fire

An Edgewater home caught on fire Oct. 27 and the family who resided there as been displaced. Damage is estimated at $65,000.

EDGEWATER, MD — A family of four has been displaced after their Edgewater home caught on fire Sunday afternoon. The family and neighbors reported the fire at the 1.5-story single family home at 1629 Chesapeake Lane at approximately 3:41 p.m. Oct. 27.

It took 45 firefighters approximately 40 minutes to contain the fire that was shooting through the roof of the home. Damage is estimated at $65,000. The Red Cross is assisting the family. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department has determined the fire to be accidental.
