EDGEWATER, MD — The Anne Arundel County Fire Department says a chimney fire caused an estimated $125,000 damage to an Edgewater house. Firefighters received a 911 call just before 2:15 a.m. Friday that the roof of a house in the 300 block of Linden Avenue was on fire.
All occupants were out of the house before firefighters arrived. The first responders on the scene found fire coming from the exterior roof area of the single-family home.
A fire around the outside of the chimney and inside the attic was quickly extinguished with most of the fire damage contained to the exterior of the home.
