Edgewater House Catches On Fire

EDGEWATER, MD — Firefighters from three departments were called to a single-family house fire in the Woodland Beach area of Edgewater Wednesday afternoon. The call came in at approximately 2:29 p.m. Oct. 2 for smoke coming from a window and door at the rear of the home located at 610 Delmar Road.

Firefighters first on the scene quickly extinguished the fire on the main level and in the attic in less than 10 minutes. A neighbor and a passerby had reported seeing the smoke. No one was home at the time. The cause of the fire is being investigated by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit.
