Edgewater Man Charged for Waving Gun from Car

Annapolis Police say the 18-year-old pointed a realistic-looking BB gun out a vehicle window.

An Edgewater man was arrested following a report that he was waving a gun out the window of a vehicle in Annapolis.

Christopher Jarin, 18, of Edgewater was identified as the suspect waving what turned out to be a BB gun from the vehicle.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon on Forest Drive near Spa Road.

Annapolis Police say that when they found the vehicle and stopped it, Jarin was sitting in the front passenger seat. A realistic-looking Airsoft BB gun with no identifying orange tip was found inside the vehicle, police say.

Jarin was charged with assault and reckless endangerment. He was released by the District Court Commissioner on his own recognizance.
