Enjoy Art, Music, Chesapeake History, and Fun for all Weekends This Fall

The Muddy Creek Artists Guild Fall Show will feature a juried collection from local artists, music, history at the Captain Avery Museum.

The Muddy Creek Artists Guild and Captain Avery Museum announce an art show and sale featuring works from local artists. The show is free to the public, running Saturdays and Sundays, September 26–October 11 in the Museum’s Great Room, located at 1418 East West Shady Side Road, Shady Side, MD, 20764. An opening reception begins at noon Saturday, September 26, and includes “Music on the Lawn” from 4-6pm featuring electric jazz-fusion trio Higher Standards.

Celebrate the final day of the show with music, traditional Bay food, and family fun at the Museum’s 17th annual Oyster Festival, Sunday, October 18. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under. Visit www.captainaverymuseum.org for more information.

A special juried collection, “The Chesapeake and Beyond,” show reflects the broad influences and interests, of the artists. The Guild will also host its Studio Intrepid workshop on Saturdays throughout the show, where artists engage with the community in various art projects.
