Coach Excursion to Longwood Gardens

Shady Side Rural Heritage Society is hosting a coach excursion to  Longwood Gardens, the living legacy of Pierre S. duPont. Longwood Gardens is one of the great gardens of the world. It is sure to thrill anyone who loves beautiful flowers, trees, fountains and architure.  Covering over 1,000 acres, visotors explore 20 indoor and 20 outdoor gardens.

We are fortunate that at the time of our visit, Longwood will be hosting the largest lily show in North America.  The "Lilytopia" event will feature 11,000 cut stems shopwcasing 290 different varieties, all flown in from the Netherlands.

Upon arriving, our guests may explore the gardens and conservatory and then enjoy a noon time lunch in the Terrace Cafe. The we will be treated to a one hour guided tour of the grounds. Following the tour, participants may return to an area of interest or visit the gift shop.
