Parent Forum on Special Education Issues in Anne Arundel County Public Schools

Parents and county residents who have questions about Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ efforts to address the disparities in educating students with special needs can get answers during the school system’s latest Parent and Community Forum on May 12.

The forum, part of the Office for Civil Rights Memorandum of Agreement, is being facilitated by AACPS’ Office of Equity Assurance and Human Relations and the Division of Special Education.

Attendees will be able to discuss their school experiences, speak with members of the system’s special education staff, learn about the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, get tips on advocating for their child, and receive information about partnerships and resources for parents.
