The South River High School Miles For Media 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, May 6th at 8:00 a.m. on the campus surrounding the school in Edgewater, MD. This is a fundraising event to support South River High School's Media Center Renovation Project. The school's media center has not been updated in over 20 years. The total cost of the work is almost $500,000. Specific improvements during the project will include flexible learning spaces that can be configured for full classes or small groups; Smart Boards; workstations; tables, chairs & other furnishings; 40 new computers for the updated computer lab; 80 new laptops and carts to house them; e-readers; new books & library materials.
