The Department of Recreation and Parks offers a Teen/Young Adult Social Club for Youth with Developmental Delays for ages 13 and up on Fridays. The next sessions are from Feb. 3, 2012, to May 18, 2012 at Central Special School, 140 Stepney Lane, Edgewater, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The cost is $160. Youth with differing abilities get together with peers for dancing, games, parties and socialization. There is a 1 to 5 supervision ratio. Programs run when schools are in session, and the schedule is subject to school availability.
The Adult program previously held at North County Recreation Center has combined with the Teens at Ruth P. Eason Special School.
