Looking for a new book? Ask a friend. It can be as simple as that. Mother, father, sisters and brothers are good resources too. Most readers are delighted to tell others about what they're currently reading or have read. If they've enjoyed a book, then they'd like everyone to enjoy it too. A local book club whether it's in person or online is also a good way of finding good recommendations on books that are popular that you may not have heard of before. Asking club members can get you a good list of titles. My favorite method of finding a new book is Facebook. All my friends are right there and I can simply ask ~ what's everyone reading?! I get some very helpful and interesting responses. No matter who you ask, make sure you have something to document all those great suggestions. The one thing that's worse than not knowing what to read is getting a bunch of great suggestions and forgetting them all when you get home!
