'Highly Intoxicated' Woman Robbed By 3 Armed Thieves: Police

A woman who police say was "highly intoxicated" reported she was robbed Monday night on the community pier in Shady Side.

SHADY SIDE, MD — A robbery victim described by police as "highly intoxicated" reported she was robbed Monday night on the community pier in Shady Side. The woman said two men — one of whom had a handgun — and a woman threatened her and took her cash.

The robbery was reported about 9:50 p.m. in the area of the Cedarhurst Community Pier on Chesapeake Avenue in Shady Side. The woman told officers that while she was at the pier she was approached by two men and a woman who had a gun and demanded her money. She gave the robbers her cash and the thieves walked away, according to the police report.

Several officers searched the area but there were unable to locate the robbers.

The thieves are described as a tall man wearing a gray hoodie, armed with a handgun; a second man; and a woman with a heavy build, about 5’01” wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
