The state of Maryland is near the top in telework savings nationally, according to Wallethub.com, with an average telework savings of $11,725 yearly.
With National Telework Week starting on Monday, March 2, Wallethub says that the U.S. could save more than $900 billion and prevent 3.6 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions, each on an annual basis, if more people were allowed to work from home.
An estimated 50 million U.S. employees would like to telecommute, according to data from Global Workplace Analytics.
