Preliminary investigation shows a 2000 Audi TT driven by Nicholas Anthony Cassidy, 22, of Davidsonville was westbound on Central Avenue when it crossed the centerline. Police say Cassidy’s vehicle collided head-in with a 2008 Toyota Yaris driven by Marie Elaine Higgs, 60, of Edgewater.
Higgs was declared dead at the scene by fire department paramedics. Authorities say her body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for autopsy.
