HARWOOD, MD — A man told police he was deliberately struck by a woman he knows driving a Mustang as he jogged in Harwood. She is charged with assault; he suffered minor injuries.

Anne Arundel County Police said about 9 a.m. Wednesday the man was jogging on Hardesty Road when he was struck by a black Ford Mustang. The victim told officers he believes he was intentionally struck and had prior interactions with the woman driving the Mustang, later identified as Ruth Ann Scheler, 58, of Harwood.

The victim made it to his vehicle for safety, but Scheler used her car to block the road, forcing the victim to drive off the road in order to get away, authorities said.
