Laurance Clothing Plans to Close
Signs at the Main Street Annapolis business say a going-out-of-business sale starts Saturday.

Laurance Clothing, 232 Main St. in Annapolis’ historic district, is closing, reports the Capital-Gazette newspaper.
Signs posted at the shop say a going-out-of-business sale begins Saturday, with all merchandise marked 40 percent off.
Store owner Larry Vincent didn’t comment to the newspaper Wednesday.

He sums up the store this way on the Laurance Clothing store website:
“I started Laurance Clothing with one simple idea in mind--that there should be a men’s clothing store that reflected the truly unique Annapolis way of life--hence our quirky combination of East Coast maritime, casual corporate, weekend, and outdoors sportswear. I must have done something right because the store has been a favorite of visitors and locals for 44 years!”
