Lawnmower Tumbles Over Retaining Wall Pinning Man Underneath

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD -- A 45-year-old Davidsonville man suffered serious injuries when he became trapped under his lawnmower. The incident occurred in the late morning of June 15 at 1568 Governors Bridge Rd. in Davidsonville. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department found the man trapped under a zero turn radius lawnmower.

According to a report from the fire department, the man lost control of his lawnmower while near a five-foot-tall retaining wall. The mower careered over the retaining wall, flipping and pinning him underneath. Firefighters used airbags to lift the mower off of the man, who was then transported by state police medevac helicopter to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
