Lights of Kindness Voting Kicks Off Dec. 3
The decorated Christmas trees will be on display at Homestead Gardens Dec. 3-6; proceeds benefit area charities.

The Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County presents the Lights of Kindness Christmas tree decorating contest for charity at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville.
The event runs Thursday, Dec. 3 through Sunday, Dec. 6, during regular business hours, at the garden center.
Lights of Kindness is a decorating contest where visitors are invited to tour the magical Holiday Forest and vote (with dollar donations) for their favorite decorated tree representing a local charity.

Organizers say the goal of this event is not only to raise money for charities, but also to acknowledge the efforts of business sponsors, striving to make the community a better place.
Voting proceeds will benefit the charities represented, along with programs supported by the South Anne Arundel County Rotary Foundation including: Bountiful Backpacks; the Dictionary Project; the Malawi Water Project; T3 for Haiti educational programs; RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Assembly) and Polio Plus.
